DHB - CUP rules
Here you can find information about the rules of the DHB Cup. These rules set out the basis for the conduct of the competition, including the conditions of participation, rules of the game and the structure of the event!
The races are subject to the official regulations of the DHB Cup.
§ 1 Registration of Participants
Registration takes place online via the registration form on www.downhill-cup.com. Licensed riders do not need to provide a UCI ID. Participants under the age of 18 require a written consent form to receive their race number. Transferring a starting place to third parties is not permitted.
§ 2 Registration Deadline
Registration and payment must be completed by Thursday at 11:59 PM, one week before the respective race. A refund of the entry fee in case of non-participation is excluded. If the number of registrations is high, the organizer reserves the right to close registration early. On-site late registrations are not guaranteed.
§ 3 Entry Fees

Early booking (until the official registration deadline): €85 (includes entry fee, cup fee, and transport fee)

Late registration: €100 (includes entry fee, cup fee, and transport fee)
§ 4 Race Numbers
Race numbers are assigned anew for each race and must be visibly attached to the handlebars. Altering their shape or size is prohibited. Numbers are reserved based on the current overall ranking. Advertising on race numbers is not allowed.
§ 5 Eligibility
The races are open to all classes. Licensed riders may participate but will not be ranked, as the event is not listed in the UCI registration.
§ 6 Start Intervals
The start intervals are 30 seconds.
§ 7 Starting Order
Start times will be announced at least one hour before the race begins. Changes or interruptions do not affect the order. The final race order is based on the results of the seeding run, which is ranked according to the current overall series standings.
§ 8 Did Not Finish (DNF)
To participate in the final, the rider must start the seeding run and cross the start line. Crossing the finish line is not required. Participants classified as DNF will start first in the final within their class.
§ 9 Red Flag
If a run is interrupted by a red flag, this must be reported to the finish line official immediately. To repeat the run, the participant must return to the start immediately with the same equipment. The new start time is determined by the start official.

Category changes during the season are not allowed.
§ 11 Mandatory Training
All riders must complete two mandatory training runs on Saturday. These are recorded at the start and finish. Without full training registration, participation in the race is not permitted. During free and mandatory training, race numbers and full protective gear must be worn. Violations result in disqualification.
§ 12 Protective Gear
The following protective equipment is mandatory during training and racing:

Elbow and knee protectors

Back and chest protector

Full-face helmet (must meet EN1078, ASTM F1952, ECE 22-05, or SNELL M 2010/2015 standards)

Full-finger gloves
A neck protector is recommended. Helmets must always be worn with a closed chin strap. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification.
§ 13 Technical Condition of Equipment
Participants are responsible for the safety and functionality of their bikes and equipment. All materials used must withstand the stresses of the race and pose no danger to themselves or others. International safety standards must be adhered to.
§ 14 Award Ceremony
The top five riders in each class will be honored approximately 30 minutes after the race ends. The top three receive trophies. Awards will not be given retrospectively. Riders must wear their race outfit or an equivalent.
§ 15 Prize Money and Awards
Overall ranking (best time of all race runs):

1st place: €100 + annual ticket for Bikepark Bad Wildbad

2nd place: €50 + 4 bike park tickets

3rd place: €25 + 2 bike park tickets

4th & 5th place: Consolation prize
Additionally, the top three in each class receive a trophy.
§ 16 Daily Prize Money
Prize money is paid out immediately after the award ceremony at the organization office. It must be collected in person. Retroactive payment or bank transfer is not possible.
§ 17 Series Overall Prize Money
For the overall ranking, the following prize money is awarded in the specified classes:

1st place: €100 + annual ticket for Bikepark Bad Wildbad

2nd place: €50 + 4 bike park tickets

3rd place: €25 + 2 bike park tickets

4th & 5th place: Consolation prizes
§ 18 Points System for Overall Ranking
The five best seeding runs and race runs count toward the overall ranking. The points table is published on www.downhill-cup.com.
§ 19 Protests
Protests against results or disqualifications must be officially submitted to the race officials.
§ 20 Responsibility
Participation is at the rider’s own risk. Each participant is civilly and criminally responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their bike. It is recommended to have appropriate insurance.
§ 21 Liability Waiver
By registering, participants waive any claims against the organizer, Adventure
Bikes GmbH & Co. KG, for accidents or damages related to the event.
